Constitution Week has begun. The National Society of American Business Owners launched its observance of Constitution Week on Wednesday, September 17, 2009 – “Citizenship Day.” President and Founder, Stanley El was joined by the president of the National Center for Constitutional Studies, Earl Taylor, on Mr. El’s weekly radio program - “The American Dream.” Both gentlemen expressed the need – duty – Americans have to learn all they can about the United States Constitution.
Nearly every president of the United States of America since Ronald Reagan has issued a Proclamation on or around September 17th of each year formally announcing “Citizenship Day.” The occasion is in remembrance of the signing of the Constitution and recognizes Americans who strive to uphold the duties and responsibilities of citizenship. September 17 through September 24th is observed as “Constitution Week.”
Information on the Constitution and the Founding Fathers can be obtained through the National Center for Constitutional Studies at www.nccs.net. Their educational seminars are held around the country all year long. The National Society of American Business Owners will be hosting the “Making of America” seminar Saturday, September 26th in the Philadelphia area.
In the radio broadcast, Earl Taylor, president of NCCS encouraged individuals to learn as much as they can about our Constitutional form of government. He asked for individuals to talk up the Constitution at work, in their homes and anywhere else were folks would listen.
The National Society of American Business Owners has adopted the theme “TEACH THE CONSTITUTION” to encourage everyone to learn and share what they learn about the Constitution until it is completely restored and in full affect as the guide and protection of Liberty and Prosperity, everywhere.
